For Pet Use Only

I was changing the kitty-litter this morning and I noticed for the first time a warning. “For Pet Use Only”. Now when I say for the first time, I’m not suggesting it’s a new addition to the packet, but just that I’m pretty unobservant and this is the first time I’ve noticed it.
I can understand why they put that on a pet food because no doubt some feel it’s OK for human consumption, but on kitty-litter. I can also understand it on pet medication, but on kitty-litter? I must be missing something because I’m finding it hard to imagine why someone would use it for non-pet use.
About the best I can come up with is the lining of a cot for a small child without nappies?
Anyway, the mind boggles…..
It seems almost as dumb as nut packets saying ‘may contain traces of nuts’.
Mind boggling….
